Who can apply ?


  • Candidates must hold a 4-year Bachelor of Science (Mathematics or Physics) or Engineering from a non-French university
  • Candidates may apply during the 3rd or 4th year of their Bachelor’s degree course
  • Candidates may only apply once

NB   You need to submit a proof of having completed a Bachelor’s degree from a non-French university at the time of admission to the programme.

Two-stage admission process

We are committed to selecting university students who have the potential to complete the CentraleSupélec engineering diploma in two years. Our admission process has two stages:

Step 1: Online application: Mid-February – 14 April 2019 – register and upload the requested documents.

Step 2:  Admission examinations: If you are selected by the jury, you will be invited to sit the written and oral examinations according to the specialisation selected upon registration.

STEP 1 - Online application

All elements of the application must be in either English or French and must be submitted in pdf format:

  • Photocopy of passport or national identity card or equivalent documentation from the candidate’s country of residence;
  • Identity photograph;
  • CV / Résumé;
  • Transcript of grades obtained during Bachelor’s degree, including for the first term of the current year;
  • English or French language certificate (there is no mandatory minimum level, however some indication is required that the candidate is capable of sitting the examination);
  • Official school-leaving diploma (Baccalauréat, Gaokao, A-level, SAT, International Baccalaureate, …);
  • Official results of GRE or Tage Mage standardised tests (optional but recommended);
  • Motivation letter;
  • Letter(s) of recommendation (optional);
  • Online application form, completed and signed.


Select the examination centre and choose one of the following options for the examination, in accordance with your academic background:

  • Mathematics / computer science
  • Physics
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Electrical engineering
STEP 2 - Admission examination

You will sit the written and oral examinations at the centres you will have selected upon application.

Only selected candidates can take the entrance exam. More information in the invitation letters.

  • September 2019 – Start of the programme for candidates selected in the 4th year of Bachelor’s degree
  • September 2020 – Start of the programme for candidates selected in the 3rd year of Bachelor’s degree
